パズルゲーム「Stephen's Sausage Roll」のストーリーの日本語訳です。
マップ中に点在する石碑の文章から、このゲームのバックグラウンドに潜んでいた物語を追いかけます。
文は、石碑ごとに１行記載されており、石碑間が離れている個所もあるため、文章として連続しているわけではありません。が、後半はストーリーテリングの側面から、プレイヤーが石碑を順に読み進められるような配置となっています。

主人公は何者で、なぜマップ中のソーセージをすべて焼くのでしょうか？そもそも何故ソーセージで、そして焼けたソーセージはその後どうなるのでしょうか？
明確な回答はゲーム内では語られませんが、その考察のヒントとなれば幸いです。

さて、私は受験英語レベルでのほんわか翻訳スキルしかありません。今回も翻訳していて、いまいち意味が読み取れない文が現れたため、ごまかしたり、ニュアンスで意訳した箇所もあります。
